First of all, the raw materials for mass-produced optical glass in general industry are monolithic. It is necessary to perform preliminary cutting and perforation according to the designed shape requirements, and then perform finishing and coating. So how are these thin and brittle glass cut? At first, the cutting was performed with a precision CNC spindle cutter, but the quality was difficult to control, and the yield rate was far from the expected value.
