Why does the power of UV lasers attenuate, thus shortening the service life?

Most of the ultraviolet lasers currently on the market are solid-state lasers, which generate light sources by pumping solid materials through xenon lamps. The high-quality operating life of the ultraviolet laser industry is 2000 hours, and power attenuation may occur after exceeding.

 

 

When the ultraviolet laser is running, the ultraviolet laser will ionize, and the LOB crystal is an insulator. After ionization, the crystal is charged, which induces the generation of organic molecules, which are adsorbed and deposited on the surface of the LOB crystal. When the organic matter reaches a certain thickness, the ultraviolet laser burns the surface of the LOB crystal when it passes through the organic layer, causing power attenuation and shortening the service life.

 

 

 

When the LOB crystal attenuates after long-term operation, the pumping irradiation point of the LOB crystal can be moved by electric control, thereby reducing the attenuation and prolonging the service life.

 

 

 

The single-point life of the laser is 2000 hours, and there are 6 preset electronically controlled shift points. The laser can reach 12000 hours, and the service life is extended by 5 times, which greatly reduces the maintenance cost and debugging difficulty.
